There is hope (A.I in the demoscene)

After Easter, I was heartbroken when I knew that there were some prods that contained A.I. images at the Revision demoparty. I couldn’t believe that, and that’s why I wrote a blogpost about it (still, I don’t use the English language every day.)

Once, in 2016 I was an infodesk organizer there. I had so much fun, because I thought that they didn’t need me as an infodesk organizer, but Sunday morning I needed to go my the infodesk area 2 hours earlier, because nobody there …😯 Also that time was the FIFA European Championship and with Germany vs. Italy match and Germany won…. after that everyone was super cheerful. One of the DJ, if I remember well DJ Ish’s set was unexpectedly long that I hardly couldn’t go to sleep and slept for 3 hours because in the morning I had another duty. So that was blast weekend. That’s why when I saw that I just went melanconic and I couldn’t believe my eyes. 😟

When I became totally hopeless with all of this AI stuff…my beloved friend Darya from the Evoke Orga team, told me that they banned A.I. in every category 100%. 🥰

(Generative) AI content will be disqualified as part of the preselection process. Usage of AI is prohibited. Entries containing AI content that pass preselection do so by accident, not endorsement, and are still violating the rules. For more details, see the rules of the individual compos.

The common sence won in Köln/Cologne. They are trying to keep the values and secure the environment for the creative community. I’m so glad about it. Unfortunately we can’t go this year, but defininitely I would do it. Keep going, I hope the other demoparty will get inspired and stop this madness.❤️
